A Peek At Our Week!

I hope your child had a wonderful February vacation! With all of the hard work that has been happening in Room 202, the break is much deserved! I am looking forward to hearing all about the fun that was had when we return to school on February 25th!

Jump-a-Thon!

Congratulations to Shea and Emma who were our class representatives in the Jump-a-Thon which took place the Friday before vacation! We are SO proud their tremendous effort. Great work Shea and Emma!

Valentine's Day

Our class had a great time spreading some love as we celebrated Valentine's Day! Passing out our valentines was definitely a highlight of the day!

Curriculum Update

Literacy

Before vacation we read the story Hide Clyde! by Russell Benfanti and discussed the question, "How do chameleons change?". We continued to practice reading the sight words of, you, and they, and learned about the letter O!

The students above had fun using watercolor paints to create their own colorful chameleons! 

Math

Valentine's Day themed math centers were a great way for the children to practice a wide variety of skills including addition, subtraction, and number recognition!
