Our school year is certainly off to a great start and it's hard to believe we've only been in school for 4 short days! This week the children learned all about our classroom, school, and the other students in our class!
The children did a great job sitting at the tables and working on their First Day of Kindergarten portraits!
Lunch came at the perfect time. We certainly worked up quite an appetite!
Scavenger Hunt!
On Wednesday the children put their knowledge of Room 202 to the test as they went on a classroom scavenger hunt! Finding the calendar, their cubby, and the classroom library were just a few of the stops on their list.
Where is the Gingerbread Man?
On Friday we went on a hunt for the Gingerbread Man who was loose in Boyden School! While we searched locations such as the office, cafeteria, and computer lab it seems as though he was too fast for us to catch! Luckily our hunt had a happy ending as the Gingerbread Man left us a fun activity to complete when we returned to our classroom!
Special Visit!
Getting a visit from Officer Hart and his police dog Rebel was another highlight of our day!
Recess
Friday's cooler temperatures also made outdoor recess MUCH more enjoyable. We had a great time playing with new friends!
