It's hard to believe this is our last week of school! I guess it's true what they say, time sure does fly when you're having fun!

Last Day
The last day of school for Kindergarten students is Friday, June 16th. Please note this this is a full day of school and we will be following our typical schedule.

Curriculum

Literacy
Last week was full of excitement as we celebrated the union of the letters 'Q' and 'U'. The week began with a festive wedding shower where students brought gifts for the couple which included quarters, q-tips, quilts, umbrellas, and even underwear (just to name a few!). Both 'Q' and 'U' were quite humbled by the unbelievable generosity of the students!

Finally the big day arrived! All of the Kindergarten classes were in attendance as Mr. Dearborn performed the very special ceremony. Congratulations 'Q' and 'U'!

Math
In math we began to review many of the important concepts we learned in class this year. The children had a great time practicing their addition and subtraction skills and number identification while completing fun, summer-themed activities!

Spirit Week!
Thank you to all of the students who participated in Spirit Week! Walpole Day and Luau Day were sure a big hit in our class!

I'd say these students definitely look ready for summer!

Field Day
Spirit Week ended with one of the major highlights of the school year, Field Day! It was a picture perfect day as the children enjoyed numerous games, activities, and events. A very BIG thank you to Mrs. Cotter and Mrs. Lydon for sending me the pictures they took so I was able to document this fantastic day on our blog!
